Pspeak operates using current, common technology. It’s designed to run on virtually any browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, etc). If you are experiencing a technical issue it is most likely related to a computer, browser, or internet connection. We suggest using a search engine such as Google to search for information pertaining to your situation.
Here’s a link to a useful article on common computer issues: http://www.pcworld.com/article/2047667/how-to-solve-the-10-most-common-tech-support-problems-yourself.html
If the issue seems to be related to your internet connection, contact your internet provider.
The ideal method for launching meetings is to download the “meeting app” prior to attending a meeting for the first time. Using this app will greatly increase meeting launch speed and efficiency. Here’s a link to download the app:
If you have issues launching a meeting after installing the app, they could be browser related. If this happens, we recommend you try using a different browser such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, etc.
Our web conference provider also offers a support library that can be accessed by clicking the help link at the upper right of the conference area landing page. Note you must be logged into Pspeak and in the conference area to see that link so we do not provide a link to it from here. You can get to that area by logging in and going to “Prepare!” and then “Take Me To The Live Practice Area!”
To become more familiar with meeting controls prior to actually attending a meeting, simply launch a meeting without attendees. You will see icons for features like sharing your webcam, muting audio and other valuable information. Close the meeting when you are done.
A common issue with any web conference tool is video and/or audio lag. Live, online, streaming web conferences require a healthy computer with a strong internet connection. Always use an Ethernet connection for optimal performance.
If you are experiencing issues including delays, broken up video, or difficulty launching a meeting, we recommend looking into general computer issues and/or your internet connection. Please contact your internet provider for assistance with maximizing your internet connection speed.
We provide videos on meeting behavior and procedures. They are found here
These procedures should be followed closely to ensure that all members experience a productive, enjoyable process.
The Pspeak community is made up of a wide variety of people from all walks of life. While the vast majority of our members are wonderful, polite people, we can’t assume issues will never arise. Therefore, in the unlikely event that you run into problems with other members, please follow the following procedures:
First and foremost, please follow the meeting rules. Following these rules will avoid the vast majority of issues between members!
If a minor disagreement occurs in a meeting, attempt to resolve it with the help of those present in the meeting.
If the disagreement is more serious and/or a minor issue is not being resolved in a timely manner, close out of that session and find another session to join. If you would like to report the incident, click here.
If you run into a serious issue during a meeting or if you run into an individual causing repeated issues in more than one meeting, please note their username and contact us immediately.
In the event that another member is behaving inappropriately during a meeting, please note their username and either exit the meeting immediately or use the “eject” feature in the meeting (this should kick them out). Then contact us to report the incident right away.
You can manage your account in the “My Account” area. This can be accessed at the top right of the Pspeak website. There you can add or delete credit cards, close your account, and more.
If you don’t find what you need in the “My Account” area or if you have other account related questions, please contact us.
