Setting Goals

The first step to becoming a capable, confident public speaker is to have a clearly defined goal that means something to YOU. Here at Pspeak, we don’t think speeches are something to just “survive” when you’re called to give one. We believe building public speaking skills is something that can improve so MANY areas of your life.

For instance, in the business world, being an effective presenter often means getting a higher paid job with more power and responsibility. Outside of business, having great communications skills is equally important—being able to communicate more clearly will enrich your life!   Therefore, as you approach your next speech, try and define some “big picture” reasons for giving the speech. Maybe that goal is to speak without fear, or to get a promotion at work. Be clear on what YOU want before you move on.
